Psalm 120 is a cry from the middle of conflict—a voice calling out for peace in a world full of lies and tension. It’s honest, raw, and real. Yet even in distress, the psalmist turns to the Lord with confidence that He hears.

This blog is about doing the same. We’re learning to pray the Bible, to speak God’s Word back to Him. When we do, it shifts our focus and strengthens our faith. Today’s prayer is simple: “Lord, You watch over me. You’re my protector. I rest in Your loving care! Thank You for who You are and what You do. I bless Your name.”

Prayer

Father, punish the barbarians that attack me with their words and fists. Crush these vandals. Bring Your justice to these lying brutes. Protect me from these thugs and give them what they deserve in Jesus’ name, amen.

Psalms 120:1-7

I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me. Save me, Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues. What will he do to you, and what more besides, you deceitful tongue? He will punish you with a warrior’s sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom bush. Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek, that I live among the tents of Kedar! Too long have I lived among those who hate peace. I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
