The Moravians were Protestant refugees from Moravia. They were the legacy of reformer John Hus. They settled in Germany and settled on the land of Count Zinzendorf. They became a powerful force in missions. The cry of the Moravians was, “May the Lamb that was Slain Receive the Reward of His Suffering.” The urgency of this cry is fleshed out in this declaratory prayer. Prayer

Father, I decree the nations are binding themselves to Jesus, the Messiah. They’re embracing his Lordship. Based on the authority of Your word I declare Your Kingdom is coming in power. We call forth Jesus’ inheritance. May every nation and people group be gift wrapped and given to him. We release a reverence for Jesus among the nations. Kings, presidents and prime ministers, along with all of their governing bodies, are arriving at the sobering conclusion that his kingdom is coming whether they like it or not. In light of this we call for their complete and full surrender to Your kingdom. They will rule their people under Your authority. Encourage their people to accept Your kingdom and to fully embrace Jesus’ lordship over their lives. Love and affection for Jesus are spreading among the nations. We make this declaration in the name of the King, Jesus!

Psalms 2:1-12

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.” I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father. Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.” Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
