The nations are in uproar and upheaval.  The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has brought the world to its knees. Our cursed globe is groaning due to our sin. Our hope is not in quarantines, but in the saving power of our God.  Rise up in faith with me and let’s pray together against this plague. By God’s grace, may he intervene on our behalf. Pray this prayer with me, then share it with a friend. Let’s come into agreement and escort this plague from our land. 

Prayer

I come against the Cornea/Covid19 virus in the name of Jesus, and I tell it to go back to hell from which it came. I lay claim to Psalm 91:3 which says, “Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.” I claim the promise for me and my household. I apply the blood of Jesus to the door post of my house and the power of death, sickness and infirmity must pass over my home. As a king and a priest I command this virus to “die (Revelation 1:6)!” I ask in Jesus name that this virus will not be able to mutate or spread. Strip it of its ability to reside in human beings or mammals. I ask that You will protect first responders and health care providers. May it’s spread come to a miraculous stop. May the world know there is a God in heaven, and lift every quarantine because the need has been eradicated by Your miraculous power.

You have told us that when there is drought, locusts and plague, the cure is humility, prayer, seeking Your face and repentance.  Use this calamity to awaken the lost, damned and spiritually dead populations of the earth. Bring a great awakening to the world and revival to the church. Make us aware of the fact that the only security in life comes from You. Bring repentance to our nation and all the nations of the earth.  We confess that our collective sin has removed Your divine protection and has made us susceptible to demonic strategies. If we do not repent, we will reap the whirlwind of wickedness that will crush our lives and families (Hosea 8:7). So grant our nation repentance and awakening. May our collective repentance turn back the plague just like David’s confession and repentance turned back the plague in his day (2 Samuel 24:1-25). 

Cause faith to rise up among Your people! May we speak Your word. We declare that no weapon turned against us will succeed (Isaiah 54:17). Protect our meetings and gatherings and make a way for the church to gather without fear or by causing harm to our neighbors. Use this situation to bring You glory in Jesus’ powerful name, the strong Son of God. 

 

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
