Our church culture should look like the kingdom of God. Paul lays out what that should look like in 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15. Prayer

Jesus, establish a culture throughout the Christian community. I pray that we will be distinctive from the rest of the world. Give us a vigorous work ethic. Give us a reputation for being the hardest workers on our jobs and in our businesses and in service of others. Develop in us an industrious culture. We’ll encourage the timid to build relationships, attempt new endeavors, and share the faith boldly. Encourage compassion among the struggling, the physically and mentally disabled, the unintelligent, the poor and the oppressed. We’ll have patience with everyone, we will demonstrate forbearance with the brethren. Help us to never pay back wrong for wrong. We will be kind to everyone in Jesus name, amen.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
