Jonah is one of the most gifted evangelist in the Bible. In spite of his rebellion people around him are always converting. He eventually sees the entire city of Nineveh converted or at the very least the vast majority of its citizens repenting and turning to the LORD. This challenges me to live a redemptive life. My desires is to have such grace abounding in my life that both my successes and failures to bring people to Christ. If that’s your desire, then let’s pray this prayer together.
Prayer
Father, help me to live a life that brings people toward You. Use my successes and my failures to work redemption in others. May the fear of the Lord be spread through my life in Jesus name.
Jonah 1:16-17
Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm. 16 At this the men greatly feared the Lord, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows to him. 17 Now the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
