Psalm 113 is a powerful call to global worship—a reminder that God’s praise is not meant to be confined to a single place or people, but to rise from every nation, from the rising of the sun to where it sets. This Psalm invites us to join in God’s global vision: one where the poor are lifted, the lowly are honored, and even the barren are filled with joy. As you pray through this passage, let your heart burn not only for personal transformation but for a world awakened to the glory of God. Ask the Holy Spirit to stir up explosive praise in every people group, until the name of the Lord is lifted high in every language and culture. And if this prayer moves you, don’t keep it to yourself—share it with your friends and community on social media, and let the call to praise echo even farther.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, cause the praises of the Father and Son to spread around the world! May it be contagious. Take the gospel to every people group, and when they accept Your truth may they respond in explosive praise! Raise up whole cultures of praise around the world. I pray this in Jesus’ name! May the Lamb receive the reward of His suffering.

Psalms 113:1-7

Lord be praised, both now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised. The Lord is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth? He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes, with the princes of his people. He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the Lord.
