Obviously, our nation is in chaos right now, but our God still speaks to storms and brings peace.  Our God is more than able to bring His peace in the middle of our national trials and traumas. In light of God’s mighty ability I wrote a prayer for unity and justice. Would you pray this prayer with me, and use it as a jumping board for your own prayers, then share it with your friends if it ministered to you.

Prayer

Father, You’re a God of justice (Isaiah 30:18), and I come to You in the mighty name of Jesus! You’ve called Your people to maintain love and justice (Hosea 12:9). In this dark time, we need Your assistance. We must have Your grace to endure and Your wisdom to bring harmony where there is strife. Lord, without Your intervention, wickedness and injustice will prevail. Give us the clarity to see Your truth, the decisiveness to chose Your coarse of action and the submissiveness to be harnessed by Your yoke of love. Transform us into peace-makers and bridge-builders. Supernaturally move! You’re the one that destroys the wall of hostility between people, cultures and ethnic groups (Ephesians 2:14). We speak to the wall of hostility, hatred, bitterness, injustice and lawlessness and we tell it to go! Bring the unity of Heaven to earth!  Bring the justice of Your courts to ours.  Bring the wisdom, strategy and laws of Heaven to our nation.  Fill us with Your love and in Your church make us into one new man (Ephesians 2:14-16). We pray this in the name of Jesus, the Righteous Judge.
