The Father’s blessings are received internally and move outward. Therefore, if our inner state is filled with sin and turmoil, we can’t experience the long term blessings that come from following Christ. Our sin, dysfunction and inner turmoil will cause us to self-sabotage. We need the Holy Spirit to heal us internally so we can prosper spiritually, emotionally and physically. This prayer invites the Holy Spirit into the process. Pray with me. Then share this prayer with others so they can begin the process of inner healing.  

Prayer

O Holy Spirit, I lift up my soul to You. Heal my spirit and emotions so I can prosper. I’m talking about a blessing so big that it prospers me, my children and my grandchildren. I’m humbly asking for help here. I would hate to be shamed by the people that don’t believe in You. I certainly don’t want to confirm that I’m a failure to the people that currently believe I am. Help me prove them wrong! So get my soul right. Align me internally to receive Your blessing. Put me in a success mindset. Teach me Your ways. Instruct me from Your word in how this life really works. Wash away my sins. Remove guilt, shame and condemnation from me. Destroy anything on the inside of me that could cause me to self-sabotage. Break the cords of temptation that are pulling me to failure. Command my focus on Your goodness. I don’t want to believe for a second that Your not pulling for me. I am absolutely convinced You’re willing to help me. I also want to be Your friend. One in which You confide. Share Your inner most thoughts with me. What good are Your blessings if I don’t have You? Friendship with You is the greatest blessing of all. You see the predicament I’m in now. Help me dance through this minefield to complete victory in the name of Jesus I pray, amen!

Psalms 25:1-22

In you, Lord my God,  I put my trust. I trust in you;  do not let me be put to shame,  nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. Show me your ways, Lord,  teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior,  and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth  and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me,  for you, Lord, are good. Good and upright is the Lord;  therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful  toward those who keep the demands of his covenant. For the sake of your name, Lord,  forgive my iniquity, though it is great. Who, then, are those who fear the Lord? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose They will spend their days in prosperity,  and their descendants will inherit the land. The Lord confides in those who fear him;  he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the Lord,  for only he will release my feet from the snare. Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish. Look on my affliction and my distress  and take away all my sins. See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me! Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame,  for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness protect me,  because my hope, Lord, is in you.Deliver Israel, O God, from all their troubles!
