We long for God’s kingdom to manifest in our individual lives, among our family and in society. This prayer, based on Psalms 48, gives us the language of intercession for the coming kingdom in our life and in the world. Pray this prayer. Share it with your fellow prayer warriors so we can see the kingdom come into our lives.

Prayer

Father, manifest Your heavenly rule among Your people. We live in Your kingdom, now we pray Your kingdom will be at work powerfully within us. Make us aware that we have access to Your throne and heavenly courts (Ephesians 2:18). Strike fear in the enemy as he observes us stepping into our potential as kingdom dwellers. Teach us to continually approach Your throne in intercession. Grow us in Your presence.  Then, release the decree that’ll make us unstoppable before our enemies. Sets into motion the destruction of oppression. Release joy around the world! May Your people rejoice in You! May every person on earth benefit from the priestly work of Your people. Reveal to us the potential of kingdom living and may we pass that potential on to the next generation for Your glory! Hallelujah!

Psalms 48:1-14

Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. Beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth,like the heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King. God is in her citadels; he has shown himself to be her fortress. When the kings joined forces, when they advanced together, they saw her and were astounded; they fled in terror. Trembling seized them there, pain like that of a woman in labor. You destroyed them like ships of Tarshish shattered by an east wind. As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the Lord Almighty, in the city of our God: God makes her secure forever. Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love. Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness. Mount Zion rejoices, the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments. Walk about Zion, go around her, count her towers, consider well her ramparts, view her citadels, that you may tell of them to the next generation. For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.
