In this journey of prayer through the Book of Habakkuk, Habakkuk has now stopped his first round of questions and complaints offered to God. He quiets himself to hear the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Habakkuk now positions himself physically, mentally and spiritually to receive his answer. As we pray through this passage we will pray through the process of learning to hear the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Prayer

Father, thank You for Your teaching to Habakkuk. Your instruction to him has taught me how to hear the voice of Your Spirit. I long to be a person that hears Your voice. I want to be intimate with You. I want to be Your friend.  So help me to still myself.  Help me to quiet my mind, my hands, my emotions, and help me focus on what You may be saying to me. Lord, with pen in hand, fill my mind with thoughts with Your thoughts. I will write down what I believe what You’re saying to me. Let me see the vision. Give me a picture of the revelation.  Give me the next step so I may run with it. Lord, help me to stay in faith once You have spoken to my heart. I want to live a supernatural life in Jesus name.

Habakkuk 2:1-3

I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
