There will be a time when Jesus will return and the Father will conduct the Final Judgment. This will be the time of the restoration of all things. When we are at the end of our rope, it is this hope that keeps us going. This is why we’ve been given these words in Psalm 82. I have crafted these words into a prayer similar to the prayer of the Holy Spirit found in Revelation 22:17 “The Spirit and the bride says, “Come!” 

Prayer

Father, just as You judge in the heavens, we should judge upon the earth. You cast down the wicked and we should do likewise. Give me the courage to make righteous judgements until You come! I ask that You’ll come quickly! Finish what You started! Establish Your kingdom on earth and cast down every principality and power (Ephesians 6:12). Uproot every system of wickedness in Jesus’s name, the righteous judge.

Psalms 82:1-8

God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the “gods”: “How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. “The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. “I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’ But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.” Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance.
