There are times that we have asked God for a miracle of healing and the miracle did not come. If you have experienced this, then you are in good company. Paul, the Apostle, also experienced this reality.  This prayer based on Philippians 2:27-30 prepares our heart to be compassionate when a miracle does not take place. Prayer

Father, there are times You sovereignly choose not to do a miracle of healing.  In these times keep me from being bogged down by asking questions of why or by making excuses for You. In these times give me a heart to encourage, love and serve. I will respond to sickness with grace.  I will be a blessing to the sick by one means or another, and I will never bring condemnation when a miracle doesn’t manifest. Fill me with the wisdom of God in Jesus name, amen.

Philippians 2:27-30

 Indeed he was ill, and almost died. But God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow. Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may be glad and I may have less anxiety. So then, welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor people like him, because he almost died for the work of Christ. He risked his life to make up for the help you yourselves could not give me.
